Agent brief
Overview
Norway is the Nordic country that rewards a properly built itinerary and punishes a rushed one. The fjord region runs on ferries and tunnels with fixed timetables, the scenic rail and cruise segments need booking well ahead, and the distances look shorter on a map than they drive. We operate two distinct products. The fjord programme — Bergen, Flåm, the Nærøyfjord cruise, the Bergen Railway — runs through the summer season and suits couples and small groups. The Arctic programme out of Tromsø runs the aurora, whale-watching and dog-sledding window from autumn through early spring. Oslo functions as the gateway for both. Norway is a high cost base and there's no honest way around it. What we do is make sure agents aren't paying it twice through a badly sequenced route.

What agents should know about Norway
Trade points
- Best season: Jun–Aug for fjords and midnight sun. Oct–Mar for aurora in Tromsø. May and Sep are workable shoulder months.
- Connectivity: one-stop via European or Gulf hubs to Oslo, then domestic.
- Typical itinerary: 6N/7D Oslo–Bergen–Flåm, or 5N/6D Tromsø aurora programme.
- fjord ferries, the Flåm Railway and cruise segments need advance booking in peak summer. Late confirmation means a rebuilt itinerary.
